One of the most common questions when talking about training is whether sweating burn excess fat. The answer is NO!!

Sweating only regulates our body temperature. Increased sweating can be a good indicator that the intensity of your workout is high and that you are really losing excess fat, but ,on the other hand, it may be that it is a hot summer day and the body needs to cool down. When you want to do high-intensity training, perform exercises that are demanding for both the muscular and cardiovascular systems, and your body temperature naturally rises. If the body continued to work at the same high level you set in your workout, sweat secretes to cool down and function at that level for as long as possible.

By dressing in multilayered clothing, your body will sweat intensely, leading to temporary weight loss, which many will identify with weight loss. The problem is that there is a difference between losing weight and losing fat.The weight we lose that way is solely water. The body wants to cool down and nothing more. If you want to lose fat you need to be in a calorie deficit. You need to burn fewer calories than you consume per day.
